KEFALLONIA SERIF
KEFALLONIA type design by me. Inspired by Roman and Greek inscription letters.
The name comes from a western greek island located in the ionian sea.

My typeface, 'Kefallonia,' is inspired by the Greek and Roman inscription letters, where they are characterized by contrast and their serifs. However, in the Kefallonia typeface, there is a different kind of contrast. In my typeface, it is a medium contrast rather than high contrast. I chose to do this because it also needs to work in body text and in small sizes. Additionally, the serifs also stand out. For example in my design of "G" and "J".
My biggest challenge was the lowercase letters, as they do not exist in the old inscription alphabet.
So I had to draw them without the same source of inspiration.
